Our route follows the Lesse as it winds beneath limestone cliffs, past the striking "Aiguilles de Chaleux," and through the Furfooz nature reserve — a landscape people have been drawn to for thousands of years. Prehistoric caves like the Trou du Grand Duc watch over the river, and the ruins of a Roman bath complex and military camp still rest among the rocks. From the plateau, the view opens wide across the valley, and along the way you'll spot the silhouette of Château de Walzin: perched more than 50 meters above a bend in the river since the 11th century, this romantic castle has been nicknamed Belgium's own Neuschwanstein, and once caught the eye of Victor Hugo himself.

It's a fitting stage for a milestone: our first hike of the new season, and our second birthday as a group. 🎉

We look forward to welcoming you! 👣
